The BEST peanut brittle
Preston's is THE place for candy made the old fashioned way. This place makes their candy right in the back of the shop almost daily. Great rocky road, peppermint candies that start out as hard candy but become chewy as they warm in your mouth (really addicting) but my favorite is the hand pulled peanut brittle. Since they make it right on site you can't get any fresher and the process of hand pulling the candy as it's cooling makes the brittle thinner which gives it a nice crisp snap rather than being think and hard like the kind other stores make. Preston’s in unique in so many ways that it’s definitely worth the effort of seeking them out. You’re sure to find your own favorite among all the stuff they make. Say hi to Irene Preston when you stop in. She’s passionate about candy making and will be happy to answer any questions. It’s a great local shop and fun to take visiting relatives and friends from out of town to. Every city should be lucky enough to have a neighborhood candy shop like Preston’s.

Refreshingly retro
If your senses are craving a taste of the past, don't miss Preston's. It has survived the contemporary cookie cutter makeover to continue to dish out the best of the best. I was a little bummed out by the pricey menu, but if that's of no concern, Preston's is just a good old-fashioned ice cream parlor.
